This is the first post on the Conley&Co Interiors blog, a sign that we are on the move. It is 10 months since our launch in November 2008 and after a busy time, I finally have a breather to do some much need admin. The website, www.conleyandco.net is in the process of being updated with our latest projects and things are moving forward....

Anna has moved to London and is about to embark on some exciting design work for Fulham based proeprty developers Prime Renovations, while continuing to assist Marnie in the Edinburgh office with ongoing Scottish based projects.

2009 has seen the completion of our first 'show house' project for AMA residential, at the new Springside development in Fountainbridge. This project gave Conley&Co a fantastic insight into the commericial world of property developers! We created an exciting interior for the penthouse apartment and which was the centre stage for the grand opening night and the backdrop the for Springside PR and Markerting! Subtle elegance in the formal downstairs living space was achieved by the fabulous natural fibres of Nobilus wallpaper and wooden floating shelves. A chic yet cosy Bo Concept sofa, littered with an array of lush velvet and bold stripped linen cushions helped to create the perfect entertaining space for their target audience; Edinburgh's young upwardly mobile.

While we looked to muted elegance downstairs, the upstairs chill out area was a chance to let our hair down and use some bold colours, bold pieces and bold concepts to create the ultimate in city living indulgence. The huge L-shaped sofa, hanging light and array of fabulous orange hues, the 'couleur de jour', give this space a really fun and relaxed feeling...

Bedrooms for showhouse are always fun as they are a chance to create the ultimate boutique hotel feel-and the sheets won't get scruffed up by guests!! A rich and luxurous masterbedroom, with fabulous bespoke black lacquered wall unit, fabrics in strong masculine greys and blacks constrasted with soft mauve hues really give this room a sultry and indulgent feel, while the second bedroom is a perfect example of subtle femininity...
